Kent Ninomiya
Kent Ninomiya is veteran journalist and writer with more than 21 years experience in the industry. He is managing editor of EmergingDragon.com, a web site for Americans looking to benefit from an emerging Asia and Pacific Rim.  He is also the Senior Southwest U.S. Correspondent for China Daily, the national English language newspaper of China. It is circulated in 120 countries around the world and its web site gets 10 million hits per day. Ninomiya also writes extensively on a wide range of subjects for broadcast, print and the internet.

Kent Ninomiya is best known for his work as a television news anchor and reporter.  He was the first Asian American man to be a primary news anchor at a U.S. television station.  He was the main anchor of KSTP in Minneapolis and WICD in Champaign.  He also anchored the weekend evening news at KCOP in Los Angeles, reported for KTTV in Los Angeles, and anchored the weekday morning news at KGO in San Francisco.

Prior to that Kent Ninomiya was a reporter and fill in anchor at WLS in Chicago, KGTV in San Diego, KFSN in Fresno, and KJEO in Fresno.  He also anchored the morning news and reported at KIEM in Eureka, California, was an assignment editor-reporter at WGGB in Springfield, Massachusetts, and worked for the Washington DC Bureau of Cable News Network (CNN).

Kent Ninomiya has reported from all over the world. He has traveled to all 50 U.S. states and more than 100 countries and regions on all 7 continents including Antarctica.  He also lived for extended periods of time in Europe, Asia and Africa.  Ninomiya holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley in Social Sciences with an emphasis in History, Political Science and Mass Communications.  He was also a fellow of Journalism Ethics at the Poynter Institute.
